Community groups and individual supporters are the backbone of Family Promise of Hunterdon County and we rely on them to support our mission and help us care for the families and individuals we serve. They’re also called upon to help us fundraise to provide critical funding so that we may care for those experiencing homelessness in our Hunterdon communities.
Our Box City fundraiser calls for us to spend the night sleeping outside in a cardboard box or other makeshift shelter to raise funds to support our neighbors experiencing homelessness and to increase awareness about the issue of homelessness in our Hunterdon communities. Yes, despite being one of the wealthiest counties in the nation and the wealthiest in New Jersey, Hunterdon County sadly has its fair share of homelessness. Family Promise of Hunterdon County strives to prevent homelessness and care for those who are experiencing homelessness. We help families and individuals experiencing housing instability or homelessness to become self-sufficient and live independently. We do this through intensive case management, training, and basic needs support so that our clients can focus on themselves and changing their trajectory. But we can’t do it without you.
