Car Donation Program

Getting around Hunterdon County without a car is extremely difficult. Public transportation options are limited, run at set times, and do not reach many workplaces, schools, medical offices, or community activities. For families with children, reliable transportation is essential—whether it’s getting to work, medical appointments, school events, or everyday activities. In Hunterdon County, having a car is often the key to maintaining employment and stability.

If you have a vehicle that is operational and does not need major repairs, please consider donating it to Family Promise of Hunterdon County. We will take ownership of the vehicle and transfer the title to a local neighbor who cannot afford to purchase a car but needs one to remain stable and self-sufficient.

Your donated car can truly change a life.

Connections & Resources

Many of our clients need more than material support—they need access to opportunities and community connections.

Are you or someone you know:

  • Renting a moderately priced unit?
  • Willing to share space in your home
  • Hiring for a job?
  • A mechanic willing to donate services or supplies?
  • Able to help with moving (truck and/or labor)?
  • Gifted in a skill or trade that could benefit others?

Your connections can change lives. Thank you for being part of our community.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is a simple way to make a lasting difference. By including Family Promise of Hunterdon County in your will, trust, or as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy, you can support the mission you care about—often without affecting your finances today. Your future gift helps ensure our work to end homelessness in Hunterdon County continues for years to come and creates a legacy that reflects your values. We would be honored to be part of your plans.

Financial Investment

Your financial support makes our work possible. Unrestricted donations are especially important, allowing us to fill gaps, respond to urgent needs, and keep our programs running smoothly.

If you prefer, you may designate your gift to a specific program or area of impact—you choose how you want to help families get and stay on their feet.

Every dollar makes a difference.
